Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Urbigjump UK Ltd ("Urbigjump", "we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with the My Live Timeline application for iOS and macOS (the "App"). Please read it alongside our Terms of Service.

Where we act as a "controller" of personal data under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, Urbigjump UK Ltd is the controller. As explained below, the App's on-device design means that for most of the information you handle in the App, you — not Urbigjump — determine how it is used.
2. Our core design: on-device, no servers
My Live Timeline is a "client" application. It talks directly from your device to your email providers and to Apple's services. There is no Urbigjump backend, cloud, or intermediary server in between. In practical terms this means:
- We do not receive, intercept, copy, or store the contents of your mailbox, your attachments, your contacts, your tasks, your notes, or your account passwords or tokens.
- Your data is stored locally on your device, and — only if you enable Apple iCloud — synchronised between your own devices through your own iCloud account (see Section 5).
- Because we never come into possession of this content, we are not in a position to disclose it, mine it, or lose it from a server, and we cannot retrieve it for you.
3. Information the App handles, and where it is stored
The App accesses and stores the following categories of information on your device in order to function. Except where expressly stated, none of it is transmitted to Urbigjump.

We do not collect analytics, usage statistics, device advertising identifiers, location data, or crash telemetry through the App, and the App contains no third-party advertising or tracking software development kits.
4. Email providers you connect
To read and send mail, you connect one or more mailboxes. The App communicates directly with the provider you choose, using credentials you supply:
- Google (Gmail) — via OAuth 2.0 and the Gmail API, or via IMAP/SMTP with an app password.
- Microsoft (Outlook / Microsoft 365) — via OAuth 2.0 and the Microsoft Graph API.
- Any IMAP/SMTP provider — using the host and app password you enter.
Your use of those services is governed by the relevant provider's own terms and privacy policy, and those providers act as independent controllers of the data held in your mailbox. We recommend you review: Google's Privacy Policy, Microsoft's Privacy Policy, and the policy of any other mail host you use.

Data obtained from Microsoft Graph is likewise used only on your device to provide the App's mail features, under the delegated permissions you grant at sign-in (read/write and send mail on your behalf). It is not sent to Urbigjump and is not used for any other purpose.
5. Apple iCloud synchronisation (optional)
If you enable iCloud features, the App uses Apple's services to keep your own devices in step:
- iCloud Key-Value Store for preferences, tasks and settings;
- iCloud Keychain for the secure storage and sync of mailbox credentials.
This synchronisation occurs entirely within your own Apple iCloud account and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. Urbigjump has no access to your iCloud account or its contents. You can disable iCloud sync in the App's settings or in your device's iCloud settings at any time.
Not everything syncs: your device's theme, text size and appearance style are kept local to that device by design, so your iPhone and Mac can each look the way you prefer, even while other data stays in step between them.
6. Legal bases for processing
To the limited extent Urbigjump processes any personal data as a controller, we rely on the following legal bases under the UK GDPR:
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — providing the App you have chosen to use, under our Terms of Service;
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — operating, securing and supporting the App, where not overridden by your rights;
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — where you grant provider permissions or enable optional features; you may withdraw consent at any time by disconnecting an account or disabling the feature.
7. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. Because we do not hold your content, there is normally nothing for us to share. Your data flows only to the third parties you direct it to — namely your email providers and (if enabled) Apple iCloud — for the purpose of operating the App. We may disclose the limited information we do hold (such as correspondence you send us) where required by law, court order, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
8. International transfers
Any transfer of mailbox data occurs directly between your device and the provider you selected, whose servers may be located outside the United Kingdom. Those transfers are governed by that provider's safeguards and policies. Urbigjump does not itself transfer your content internationally because it does not receive it.
9. Retention and deletion
- Content and settings remain on your device until you delete them, disconnect the relevant mailbox, or uninstall the App.
- Deleting the App removes its locally stored data from that device. Credentials stored in the iCloud Keychain and data in the iCloud Key-Value Store are managed through your Apple ID; you can remove them via your device's iCloud settings.
- Actions you take on your mailbox (such as deleting mail) are carried out on the provider and are subject to that provider's own retention behaviour.
- Correspondence you send to Urbigjump (e.g. support email) is retained only as long as needed to handle your query and to meet legal or accounting obligations.
10. Security
The App uses platform security features provided by Apple, including the device Keychain (with iCloud Keychain synchronisation) for credentials, and transport encryption (TLS) for connections to mail providers, including IMAP/SMTP over TLS and STARTTLS. Authentication with Google and Microsoft uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE and does not store your provider password. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and the security of your device, your Apple ID, and your provider accounts also depends on the safeguards you maintain (such as a device passcode and two-factor authentication).
11. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. Because most data handled in the App is stored on your own device and within your own accounts, you can exercise many of these rights directly — by viewing, editing, or deleting data in the App, disconnecting mailboxes, or removing the App. For any request relating to personal data Urbigjump holds as a controller, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
12. Children
The App is not directed to children and is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data relating to children.
13. Changes to this Statement
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, through an in-App or store notice. Your continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Statement.
